Head of Fast Lane

Over the past seven years, I've had the chance to work in several different roles, including customer service and logistics. Now, I'm the head of the Fast Lane production cell at our plant in Cixi, China, a position I earned through constant learning and a desire to grow.

Can you briefly describe your background and the path that led you to your current position at Burgmann Packings?

I started my journey at Burgmann Packings in February 2016. Over the past seven years, I've had the chance to work in several different roles, including customer service and logistics. Now, I'm the head of the Fast Lane production cell at our plant in Cixi, China, a position I earned through constant learning and a desire to grow.

What is your role at Burgmann Packings, and how does it contribute to the overall objectives and goals of the company?

The Fast Lane is all about quickly responding to customer needs. As the head of this department, my job is to ensure we're always ready and able to meet these needs. We function independently within the Cixi plant, which helps us communicate effectively and streamline our processes. Our motto is simple: "If Shenzhen is fast, Burgmann is faster". This sums up our dedication to exceeding customer expectations.

What's one significant way your role or responsibilities have evolved since you started at Burgmann Packings?

Earlier this year, I was asked to lead the Fast Lane. This, along with ongoing internal and external training, has meant that I'm always learning and growing. I used to spend too much time overthinking things, but with the support of the management team, I've learned to focus more on getting things done. This is particularly important in the Fast Lane, where getting things done quickly is vital.

As a leader within the company, how do you foster creativity and innovation among your team members?

I believe in providing an environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing their ideas. I strive to ensure that our team is inclusive and forward-thinking, and I encourage everyone to think creatively and innovatively.

The sealing industry, like many others, is undergoing significant changes and advancements. What innovations or trends do you see as most impactful for Burgmann Packings in the near future?

One trend I see coming is a growing demand for lower leakage rates and increased compliance. We're prepared to meet this trend head-on with our Fugitive Emission Control (FEC) solutions, which will help our customers meet and even exceed these new standards.

What's your favorite part about working at Burgmann Packings, and why?

What I enjoy most about working at Burgmann Packings is the company culture. It's something that inspires us all to work together and shapes our shared values. It's not just about how we work, but also about how we see the world.
