BPG 7870 soot blower packing ring set is engineered from BPG 6209 high-strength multifilament para-aramid yarns combined with die-formed graphite rings (BPG 6531). This advanced material combination delivers exceptional durability, thermal stability, and reliable sealing performance in demanding soot blower applications.
Applications
This sealing set is purpose-built for soot blower applications at medium temperatures, making it ideal for use with cold and hot water as well as abrasive media. End rings made from BPG 6209 serve as wiper rings, effectively removing dirt and ash from the lance while providing strong anti-extrusion protection. The flexible graphite intermediate rings add temperature resistance and excellent sealing performance, while the set as a whole acts as a guide to reduce shaft deflection and prevent seizing.
