Properties
BPG 7880 soot blower packing ring set combines preformed packing rings made from high-strength carbon yarn (BPG 6550) with die-formed graphite rings (BPG 6531). This engineered design delivers excellent durability, thermal stability, and sealing reliability in demanding soot blower operations.
Applications
This sealing set is engineered for soot blower applications at high temperatures, making it especially suitable for hot water, hot air, and steam. The BPG 6550 end rings function as wipers, removing dirt and ash particles from the lance while delivering excellent anti-extrusion protection. Flexible graphite intermediate rings add temperature resistance and strong sealing performance, while the set as a whole guides the shaft to reduce deflection and prevent seizing. Each set is fully customizable and manufactured to order for specific operating requirements.
